An interesting and varied role working in Farnborough office and from home. This role would suit someone interested in technical issues and problems but full product training given.


Reporting to: Customer Service Director - UK,

Role purpose:

Under the direction of the Customer Service Director , the Customer Service/Inside Sales Representative will be part of the European Customer Service Team and be responsible for a combination of inside sales and customer support activities for European Customers.

Customers as well as products are technical in nature.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Principle responsibilities include:

• Receiving, validating and following up on customer inquiries and provide customers and prospects with accurate quotations, terms of sale and all other appropriate information.

• Performing contract reviews to match customer drawings and specifications.

• Referring complex requests to the necessary parties, such as Product Manager, Production, Finance, Engineering or Sales Supervisor.

• Validating and entering orders with each manufacturing facility and tracking of the manufacture through to delivery.

• Utilising business systems in the preparation of quotes and dissemination of information pertinent to the business. This includes, but not limited to S.A.P, Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel,MPower (CRM) , QSI Quality system and Lotus Notes.

• Provide excellent customer service by answering technical questions on products, manage customer’s expectations on deliveries. Liaise with manufacturing sites to give and receive Up-to-date information to our customers. Manage any customer complaints and all after sales issues.

• Working closely with Regional Manager(s) to establish weekly goals.

• Participation as part of the Customer Service Team, attending daily meetings as necessary.


• To undertake any other relevant duties as requested by management.

• Initial Training will be in the UK, which is enhanced by travel to receive further training at manufacturing facilities based in the USA.

Person Specification Education and Experience:

Essential: • Strong customer service skills. High level of professionalism.

• Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal in English.

• A good technical/chemical/mathematical understanding.

• Working knowledge of S.A.P. ERP system.

• Proficient in MS office. • Excellent communication and influencing skills.

• Must have the ability to interact at all levels with the company and also with external customers.

• Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a professional team.

• Highly motivated. Possess a "can do" attitude.

• Efficient time management skills. Ability to meet deadlines and follow up.

• Highly proactive.

• Ability to solve problems/troubleshoot.

• Ability to multi-task.

• Adaptability and flexibility.

• Attention to detail/accuracy. Desirable:

• A background in the micro-electronics industry would be an advantage.

Hours of Work 37.5 hours per week. 8.30 - 5.00pm
