Data Analyst 

Fantastic opportunity to join a highly successful Financial Services company based in modern, High-Tec offices in rural Farnham.

The Data Analyst will be responsible for the retrieval, processing, analysis and forecasting of financial data systems, in order to manage and report on client performance and transactions.

Maintaining and developing data analytics and reports are key to  newly implemented in-house bespoke software.  The role will work closely with the IT Development team to provide feedback on system and process testing.

Principal Responsibilities:

  •  Retrieval of financial information
  •  Processing and analysis of financial data to generate sales leads and drill down for client invoicing against  products
  •  Provide forecasts against financial data received from field sales
  •  Maintain and develop the processes/systems behind these  Bespoke Systems
  •  Importing financial information received from clients
  •  Liaise with other departments to ensure their requirements are being met
  •  Provide feedback to management of potential improvements to existing procedures
  •  Work as part of a team to achieve the departmental standards and objectives
  •  Work effectively with other departments within the Group to maintain excellent standards of service


Knowledge:

  •  Maintain an excellent level of understanding and knowledge of  products
  •  Take responsibility for own personal development in line with agreed performance objectives
  •  Support colleagues and team members with professional problems, working to help them to resolve any issues


Essential:

  •  2+ years’ experience of data analysis
  •  Excellent IT skills; minimum 1 year hands on experience of SQL query writing, SQL analytics & SQL reporting services and an advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  •  SQL Management Studio & Visual Studio Business Intelligence
  •  Well-developed communication skills, both written and verbal
  •  Clear telephone manner and clear listening skills
  •  Excellent customer focus
  •  Demonstrates drive and positive approach to work and a determination and motivation to achieve targets
  •  Resilient and pro-active
  •  Good time management
  •  Team player
  •  Flexible approach


Desirable:

  •  Experience of working with clients in the Recruitment Agency industry
  •  Knowledge\Experience in software testing and methodologies


Hours of Work:

  •  Hours: 8.30am – 5.30pm with 1 hour for lunch (Mon-Thurs) and 8.30am – 5.00pm with 30
